Today, we speak with Joseph Cerasi, a junior civil engineering major who rents a house off campus. Joseph will share his #PROFspective with us on what it’s like to be a Rowan University student and how he’s getting the most out of his college experience as a Rowan Prof.

Social clubs: Member of Tau Delta Phi fraternity
Do you work on-campus? Yes, I work at the Tech Park on Route 322, where I work with cement 
mixing, design, and testing.
Why did you choose Rowan: I never toured Rowan until I was waitlisted from another college and realized I needed to find other options. After touring Rowan, I fell in love and committed almost immediately. The intense engineering program really caught my eye, and I loved the engineering building reconstruction. The combination of the amazing campus and engineering program led me to coming here.
What’s your favorite thing about your typical Monday at Rowan: Monday is my favorite day because I only have a 9:30 am class, then nothing all day. It’s basically another weekend day for me where I can food shop, go to the gym, and catch up on homework.
On your busiest day, what academic, non-academic and social responsibilities are you juggling: Last semester, I was juggling multiple responsibilities at once. I would work Fridays and Saturdays and attend club meetings on Fridays. I was the community service chair for Tau Delta Phi for the entire semester, which added constant tasks and increased my already intense workload stemming from civil engineering. Along with this, staying in shape and keeping my social life intact produced an extremely stressful semester, which helped me manage my time properly.
