20 Minute Radius: The Miracle on South 13th Street

A lit up sign at night.

Sophomore Music Industry major Stephanie Batista has discovered a fun Christmas activity to do with her friends.

House decorated with lights and Christmas decor.

Around the holidays, South 13th Street in Philadelphia showcases lights and decorations on a one-block strip of homes between Morris and Tasker Street.

Christmas blow up figures.

For years, people have been driving or walking down this block to view the amazing lights and decorations.

About 50 homes on this block display string lights, window animations, blow-up figures and so much more. There was a Santa animation in the window of one of the houses we saw, and we would jingle our necklaces with bells on it to him while saying hello.

Grab some hot chocolate and your friends and head to this cool spot!
